About Me

I started this blog in 2009 to improve my writing skills and start ‘networking’.  Since then this blog has gone through many ups and downs following my journey through University, love and severe disability.  I no longer care about ‘networking’, but instead prefer to make true friends through blogging and social media – friends that have something in common with me, friends that have become as important to me as anyone in my ‘real life’ (even more so, now that I am practically housebound).

But this is the ‘About Me’ page, not ‘About This Blog' page.  The question then becomes who am I?  Where do I start my story?  I will never be done finding the answer to the first question; and the second isn’t much easier.

There are so many labels I could use to describe myself: writer, daughter, sister, crafter, M.E. sufferer, Pagan; but labels, no matter how many, can never sum up everything about a person.  Yes, I am all those labels mentioned, and many, many more, but mostly the only way I can describe myself is ‘I am Tamara Epps’.

The other way to answer would be to state the events, various stages of my life, and my qualifications.  I grew up with three siblings (now 4) and both parents.  I was diagnosed with M.E. when I was 15 but was able to continue my education part-time.  In May 2011 my health worsened leaving me practically housebound and struggling with depression.  I have 3 A-Levels (English Language, Theatre Studies and Religion, Philosophy & Ethics).  I have a National Diploma in Acting.  I have a MA in Creative Writing.

All I can say is that if you want to know who I am then you need only read this blog.  The truth is this blog is me, my thoughts and opinions, depression and serenity can all be found amongst the thousands of words I have shared here.

If you have a specific question you would like to know the answer to then leave a comment here or send it via email to tamara.e.epps@gmail.com
